Welcome to Ocean View, a wonderfully positioned 3 bedroom vacation home overlooking the oceanfront at picturesque Merlin Bay on the Platinum West Coast of Barbados. It lies in a dominant position over Merlin Bay, situated on a low sea cliff with steps leading down to the sea One of just eight homes within beautifully landscaped gardens, the development has been designed to give each villa a great degree of privacy with their own private plunge pool as well as access to a large lagoon-style communal swimming pool.
Built in a traditional Mediterranean style, Ocean View welcomes its guests in cool, comfortable rooms split over three levels. The interior décor has a distinctly tropical feel to it, which is entirely in harmony with its surroundings. The lower level is comprised of an open plan, air-conditioned living/dining room, which opens out to the pretty terrace and garden area looking out to the silver beach and turquoise water beyond. A very well-equipped kitchen offers all modern conveniences, including a fridge/freezer, toaster, coffee machine, mixer, blender, and electric kettle. Also conveniently located on this level, is one of the three bedrooms, which can be configured as a king or alternatively with two single beds. This bedroom has sliding doors which lead out to the refreshing plunge pool and terrace, and allows the sea breeze to flow in. Upstairs, is where the king-sized Master bedroom can be found, with a private terrace bordered with tropical flowers. The third bedroom also has flexible sleeping arrangements and can be made up as a twin-bedded room or a king, and this bedroom too has a charming dining terrace to sit out on and enjoy the sea views. All three bedrooms overlook the garden and sea, enjoy air-conditioning and en-suite bathrooms, and have all been cleverly designed to offer comfort with a homely feel.
The home has charming outdoor spaces, and with four private terraces set amongst the tropical greenery, there is plenty of space to unwind whilst watching the amazing Bajan sunsets with a glass of wine. The shared swimming pool attracts sun all day long and is provided with comfortable sunbeds and shades. There is also a well-developed reef close to the shore, which is teeming with underwater life making it fabulous for snorkelling. Though being so close to many of the other magnificent beaches on the West coast, one could even choose a different beach for every day of their stay!
Ocean View is an excellent choice for families or for groups of friends, thanks to its ideal position, practical design and homely comforts, and will undoubtedly provide a unique base for an exciting and unforgettable holiday.

There is a fantastic villa team that looks after this property to ensure it is kept at a very high standard. Housekeeping is included two mornings per week, though additional housekeeping and a cook service can be arranged at an extra fee if required.
We also include a wonderful Concierge Service and will be delighted to assist with all your concierge arrangements including airport fast-track assistance, airport transfers, car rental, restaurant reservations, tours and excursions and much more.

It should be noted that beaches change their shape and size from day to day, week to week and month to month, mainly as a response to seasonal waves, currents and tides. Every effort has been made to depict the beach in front of this property, but temporary changes may occur.

Just one mile north of Holetown, Merlin Bay is strategically placed for all the major attractions that that West coast has to offer. To the North, there is historic Speightstown, sometimes called ‘Little Bristol’ and where many historic buildings bursting with character can be found, some of them dating back to the early settlement of Barbados. The street-side vendors offer fresh fruits and vegetables, and the local fishermen unload their catch along the jetty.
Holetown, to the South of Merlin Bay has some of the best shopping in Barbados and boasts a fine selection of bars and restaurants to choose from, fabulous duty free shopping as well as many irresistible boutiques to browse.
For the more active guest, there are superb sporting facilities close by, including fabulous tennis facilities and a gym at nearby Holetown and wonderful golf courses including three beautiful courses at Sandy Lane and a further, very challenging course at Royal Westmoreland which boasts an ocean view from every hole.
