Mullins Mill villa is an incomparable 17th Century sugar mill tastefully extended and transformed into a luxury compound that delivers a unique private vacation destination in the heart of beautiful Barbados.
Eight air-conditioned bedrooms that can comfortably accommodate 16 guests are divided across the main house, two adjoining Cliff Cottages and a further two guest cottages all within the perimeter of the property. Each of the bedrooms, decorated in cool fresh whites with a subtle splash of colour, have ensuite bathrooms. With verandas that sweep around the substantial property, there are incredible views that take in the amazing verdant grounds and the turquoise Caribbean Sea beyond.
This attractively appointed villa has a very established feel to it. With centuries old palm trees, mature flowering shrubs and orchards, the property offers guests all of the charms of a spacious traditional Caribbean home but with some important 21st Century perks.
The Grounds
A network of natural stone paths, weave magically through the extensive grounds. A short stroll from the main house and you will arrive at the infinity pool with its pretty cabana. Commanding a view across the sea, the pool area becomes the focal point for fun and relaxation for you and your family.
For those who enjoy a more active vacation, there’s a floodlit tennis court available on the property where you can have some competitive tournaments after sunset.
In addition, a ridge-top gazebo, offers guests the ideal location for a pretty lunch or romantic dinner. With your own in-house chef to devise a menu to your liking, you get to create each perfect bespoke day of dining.
To be expected with a property of this size, there are numerous quiet corners where you can be sure of finding the perfect place to enjoy some personal time with a good book.
The Accommodation
The main house offers guests the stately grandeur of the Great Room. This double vaulted space has lots of easy seating for guests to enjoy and is adjacent to the dining area that will comfortably accommodate more formal group dinners. There are many verandas that offer space for the perfect breakfast or cocktail hour. Lovely painted Caribbean styled timber railings, enclose the first floor verandas where you can relax and watch some memorable golden sunsets.
With a designated office area, any guests who need to keep connected with their business life at home, will find it a cool, quiet space to momentarily step away from the fun.
The property has that wonderfully bright feel to it with tantalising views from every window and doorway creating that lovely flow of energy throughout the property.
The original building is home to the Master King Bedroom with its own bathroom and veranda. In the old stone round turret of the main house is the Princess Bedroom. Another spacious room, accessed by a flight of stone steps, this room has a bird’s eye view over the luscious gardens.
Connected by a series of pathways and steps are the two Cliff Cottages. Each of these adjoining spaces offer guests two further bedrooms that can be configured as twin or double-bedded rooms. Following a short pathway through the gardens are two further guest cottages. These offer comfortable bedroom space for any members of your group like teenagers, an au pair or nanny, who might prefer an extra measure of privacy.
THE BEDROOMS AND BATHROOMS
Bedroom 1 Master: King sized bed, ground floor, air-conditioning, ceiling fan, safe, walk-in closet, en-suite bathroom with bath and separate shower. Master bedroom leads directly onto a private terrace with sunbeds and stunning views of the gardens. There is an additional pull out bed in the entrance room suitable for a small child.
Bedroom 2 Princess room: Queen sized bed, first floor, air-conditioning, ceiling fan, en-suite bathroom with shower. The Princess room is very unique and has its location in the turret of the old 17th-century mill.

In addition to all of these wonderful facilities, you have exclusive access to the owner’s private beach house located a 5 minute drive from Mullins Mill. Sitting on the sublime Gibbs Beach, one of the most admired in all of Barbados, is a comfortable property that has its own garden, kitchen, dining, bathroom and showering facilities. Your Villa chef can prepare delightful lunches for you and your group at the beach house ensuring your day at the beach can be one long unbroken seaside adventure. With a variety of non-motorised water sports equipment and toys stored on site, you can extract the maximum pleasure from a day on this heavenly beach.
As public access to Gibbs beach is very limited you will feel very privileged to be among the select few who get to enjoy this stunning beach.
For an equally beautiful beach but one that’s busier, why not visit Mullins Bay Beach a mere 5 minute drive from your villa. You can hire jet skis, visit the famous Mullins Beach Bar or just enjoy the perfect swimming and snorkelling conditions.
Gardens
Beautifully maintained flowering shrubs, spill invitingly over balconies and pathways. The collection of mature trees that provide natural shade frame the property perfectly. There is a luscious orchard of avocado, mango and breadfruit. Butterflies and birds fill the air with colour and song as you enjoy this perfect Eden.

Headed up by your exceptional butler, Evadney, there is an extensive staff of 8 that look after all of your needs. A chef and Assistant Chef work together to deliver exquisite meals from the very best of local ingredients. The Housekeepers ensure the property is clean and neat. The Area
A short transfer from Barbados’s main airport, you will find yourself on what is tantalisingly known as the Platinum Coast. Unavailable Words cannot describe how special Mullins Mill is. Evadney the Butler and her team could not be have been more welcoming. The gardens are gorgeous as is the private beach cabana on Gibbs Beach.
From the moment we all arrived at Mullins Mill we felt welcome and very at home. With smiling, service minded and well organised staff - we had a ball! We love the setting and ambiance of the estate, peace and tranquility and balmy air. We took advantage of sports on offer - tennis, and beach activities at the lovely and spacious beach house. The chef pampered us with delicious food with local ingredients and spices. My husband and friends felt very content. Thank you so much for making our week such a wonderful experience. We were spoiled and leaving with wonderful memories.
Mullins Mill is a complete gem. It is so unique. It is a 17th century converted plantation house. When you enter you feel like you are going back in time bu with one big difference. Mullins Mill has all the luxury we expect of an exceptional villa. The gardens are breathtaking. I also love the fact that it has its own private beachfront gazebo where you can enjoy the stunning beach and sea at Gibbs Beach. This villa is absolutely unique and absolutely stunning.
Our visit to Mullins Mill was so special. And it's a special property- steeped in history & lovingly restored & maintained by the owners along with their team. Evadney & Rosemary showed us around and we were all just blown away. The views are stunning, the décor is exquisite - real old world luxury. Every detail has been thought of & the owners even have a beach gazebo on Gibbs beach where guests can enjoy a day at the beach along with picnic lunches before retiring back to Mullins Mill to be pampered. Wonderful setting for a wedding, a family gathering, friends meet up. You feel transported to another world!
