Elsewhere Villa Barbados is a luxury 10-bedroom villa and is one of Barbados’s premier large vacation rentals. The villa has its location within the very exclusive and world-renowned Sandy lane Estate. All guests enjoy complimentary access to the residents Sandy Lane beach club. It is worth noting that Sandy Lane Beach is the best beach on the island of Barbados and access to the beach is only available to guests of the hotel and residents of the Sandy Lane Estate. The beach at Sandy Lane is a perfect crescent shape with soft white sands and extraordinary calm and turquoise crystal-clear waters.
Elsewhere Villa Barbados has undergone an extensive refurbishment and now offers a very high level of luxury and opulence. It is one of the first villas to be built in Sandy Lane and is a stunning Mediterranean style property. The villa has beautiful stucco walls, a terracotta tiled roof and multiple terraces, balconies, patios and courtyards. Each of these lends a beautiful charm to the property. Elsewhere is without a doubt one of our top villas for large groups and special occasions such as a small wedding, anniversary or birthday party.
The extensive garden that surrounds the villa are well known as one of the most beautiful gardens on the island — Fernando Tabora who is a famous Venezuelan landscape architect initially designed the gardens. The gardens are more like a series of smaller gardens interwoven by beautiful features such as lily ponds and waterfalls. There are awe-inspiring limestone cave and an ancient mahogany grove where some of the local monkeys love to frolic around and play. There are shaded nooks and crannies and a running stream that flows into a pond full of koi-carp fish. A profusion of sweet-smelling tropical flowers and shrubs off-set the gardens. Thousands of soft fairy lights beautifully light up the gardens at nighttime creating an incredibly romantic atmosphere. Our guests love to dine out under the stars to the sounds of the tropical tree frogs and the smells of the sweet bougainvillea.
Amidst the gardens is a stunning free form swimming pool. The pool area is incredibly private and surrounded by the super comfortable sunbeds. There are board games and a bar and those wishing to head to the beach will benefit from the privilege of spending time on the Sandy Lane Beach. Guests have the benefit from privileged access via a card to Elsewhere’s cabana on the Sandy Lane beach next to the Sandy Lane Hotel. The Sandy Lane Hotel's spa and tennis courts are also just around the corner.
Following the refurbishment, the interiors of this Barbados Vacation Rental are incredibly opulent. Designer Lynne Pemberton remodeled the house and included stunning Louise Bradley chandeliers, Ralph Lauren furniture and Missoni accessories. The result is an incredibly elegant and comfortable space. Elsewhere is the type of home where one will feel immediately relaxed and wonderfully pampered.
The home has two beautiful living areas. The main living area has its location on the ground floor and opens via three huge floor-to-ceiling arched doors onto the covered terrace. This living area is exquisite and leads to the formal dining area. There is an enormous 85-inch television. The second living room has its location on the first floor and has a beautiful view of the gardens and ocean.
Elsewhere has ten very luxurious en-suite bedrooms. Eight of the bedrooms have their location in the main house spread over three wings which ensures plenty of privacy for guests. Elsewhere has two stunning master bedrooms equal in size and grandeur. They have their location on the first floor and consequently have stunning views of the gardens and ocean. The two master bedrooms have direct access to the first-floor terrace which is one of the focal points of the house. It is a covered terrace open on one side with views of the ocean. There are a super comfortable sitting area and TV den as well as a wet bar and guest bathroom.
There are four further bedrooms in this section of the house located on the ground floor. An open corridor provides access to the pool house which is home to two more bedrooms. The last two bedrooms have their location in the guest cottage.
The three-bedroom wings connect beautifully via adjoining gardens, private terraces and lounging areas. Elsewhere comfortably sleeps 20 people, and due to its flexibility with bed layouts, it is equally perfect for a group of adults attending a corporate retreat or a multi-generational family get-together. It is a villa appreciated by everyone for different reasons. Adults love the beauty and serenity of the gardens. Children love exploring all the multi-facets of the villa especially the limestone cave, mahogany grove and nooks and crannies of the gardens. Everyone delights in watching the green monkeys frolicking around the gardens and plucking fresh mangos and avocadoes off the trees for breakfast.
Last but not least, Elsewhere has a vast library and office full of books and games for all ages. Elsewhere is the type of villa where guests create memories of a lifetime.

The Sandy Lane Estate is the location for some of the Islands most exclusive residences. Elsewhere Villa is in one of the Estates prime locations and is a short 5-minute drive to The Sandy Lane Hotel where residents have exclusive use of the gorgeous beach. It is worth noting that the beach is only available to hotel guests, Sandy Lane estate guests and a few very exclusive villas such as Landmark and landfall. Unavailable We have just returned from a wonderful vacation celebrating my special birthday at Elsewhere. There were 16 of us and there was plenty of room for all of us. The gardens and the pool area were breathtaking. We only found out when we arrived that Pavarotti has sung in the gardens! We felt very blessed to have been recommended this amazing villa by Yvonne at Exceptional Villas. Julie, our concierge also needs a special mention as she organised every last detail to perfection. The vacation started especially well when we were able to skip the immigration line thanks to Julies organization! I hope we will return very soon.
Elsewhere exceeded our expectations on all levels. Judith the housekeeper is amazing and Debra our cook made delicious meals for us each day. The house is way nicer than the photos. We were a bit nervous when Paul from Exceptional Villa recommended it but we honestly couldn't have been happier. Two things particularly stood out. We were a group of 7 couples and liked the fact that almost all the bedrooms are of equal standard. We also loved the fact that we had exclusive use of the beach at Sandy lane.
So thrilled to see Elsewhere back to rentals & what a transformation! It's truly stunning. The living spaces are wonderful and views are breath-taking. A wonderful villa for an extended family break or for couples to enjoy with lots of private space for everyone. We look forward to sending lots of lucky guests to the brand new Elsewhere!

Elsewhere is one of the best villas in Barbados for a large group. It is perfect for any special occasion such a small wedding, anniversary or birthday party. But is also great for a corporate retreat. I love the atmosphere and character of the house and of course, it has the great advantage of having access to the beautiful beach at Sandy Lane which is only available to residents of the hotel and Sandy Lane Home Residents. I can highly recommend this villa.
