Landfall is a delightful 6 bedroom beach house with private swimming pool typical of Barbados grand colonial coral stone style. It is located behind sweet smelling bougainvillea and hibiscus-clad walls. The villa is the epitome of laid back bare foot luxury. Step off the beautiful terrace of your home by the sea and your feet are in the sand of one of the most beautiful beaches on the island.
This luxury Barbados Villa is located directly on Sandy Lane beach in St James which is considered to be one of the most exclusive and beautiful in the Caribbean due in part to the world famous Sandy Lane Hotel which is located here. There are less than a handful of villas on the Sandy Lane Beach ensuring there is plenty of privacy and peace to enjoy the fine golden sands and sparkling clear turquoise waters. The waters are perfect for swimming and snorkelling.
Landfall comprises of around 12,000 square feet in indoor and outdoor spaces and is one of the best villas on the island to enjoy indoor/outdoor living. You enter the villa via a beautiful courtyard oasis full of flowering tropical plants and flowers set around a central fountain feature. Ivor our Butler or one of the Landfall team will meet you with a huge smile and one of Ivor’s famous rum punches. By the time you have had your first gourmet candlelit dinner under the stars with the trade winds flowing through the outdoor dining gazebo and the sounds of tropics and the tree frogs, you will feel totally relaxed.
Off the courtyard are several lovely sitting areas, a formal dining area, study and kitchen. As you go through the courtyard to the beach front side of the villa, you will come to a media room with oversized L-shaped sofa, beautiful covered terraces, gazebo and bar areas which flow seamlessly to the, pool, heated Jacuzzi, bar and beautiful beach. The pool is surrounded by super comfortable sun beds. A few steps down from the pool terrace is a lovely sunken patio with a hammock and some more comfortable seating. This area is perfect for relaxing, entertaining or even a gathering for a special occasion such as a wedding, birthday or anniversary.
The tropical gardens which are beautifully landscaped with a profusion of sweet smelling flowers, shrubs and swaying palms are overseen by Costa The Landfall Gardner.
Two of the beautiful bedrooms are located on the ground floor with a further 4 bedrooms on the first floor. The Master suite is particularly noteworthy as it comprises of around 2000 square feet in size and includes a breathtaking balcony which overlooks the pool, gardens, beach and sea. The balcony is really stunning and has its own private sitting area and supremely comfortable sun loungers. The décor of this master suite features beautifully crafted and locally made furniture as well as a huge spacious wardrobe and dressing area. This is without a doubt one of the finest bedrooms in Barbados and there is no better place to wake up then to the soothing sounds of the sea.
The other bedroom worth a special mention is The Balcony Room which is also located on the beachside of Landfall. It has beautiful views with double doors that open to a stunning balcony and may be used as a second Master bedroom if required. One of the standout features of The Balcony Room is the beautiful original stained glass window. It is also the closest bedroom to the ocean so perfect for our clients who love the sea.
Landfall Villa is truly the perfect location for family holidays and entertaining, idyllic romantic breaks and golfing trips that can take advantage of the world class courses on its doorstep. It is everything you’d imagine a Caribbean luxury beach house to be.
STAFF
The team at Landfall are in our opinion some of the most professional on the island. They look after our clients with tremendous attention to detail and warmth. They are led by Kim who is the Villa Manager. She oversees the whole team and ensures guests have everything they need.
Ivor is our Butler and has been working at Landfall for more than 8 years. His wonderful smile endears all our guests to him. As well as the fact that he serves the best breakfasts and can mix the most delicious cocktails.
June is the main Cook at Landfall and she has been cooking for guests at the villa for over 19 years. She happily offers guests a choice between European or traditional Bajan cuisine. She prepares afternoon teas and children’s tea and she loves to bake too.
Andrea is the main Housekeeper at Landfall. She is also a great cook and makes some of the best breakfasts in Barbados. She has been part of the team for over 8 years.
Marion and Jacintha assist Andrea with housekeeping ensuring the bedrooms and communal areas are spotless as well as taking great care with laundry.
Last but not least is Costa, the Gardener who has been nurturing the beautiful tropical gardens at Landfall for over 30 years. He also ensures the pool area and the beach areas are in immaculate condition for our clients at Villas Barbados.

We had a wonderful holiday in Landfall, everything without exception was first class. Iver the butler couldn’t do enough for us, he was brilliant. He went out of his way to make sure everything was perfect, even going out one day to look for monkeys for the kids which he found ,and brought us all up the road to see them, the girls were thrilled. Simeon the chef, WOW is all we could say. Every meal without exception was fabulous. He produced the most amazing food every day and was so sensitive to what the kids would eat. Our son even brought home some of his recipes. Jacinta and the rest of the staff were such lovely hardworking people. Without exception, we could not find fault. The house was absolutely fabulous and in a perfect place with all the water sports at our doorstep. Looking forward to our next trip..
Such a wonderful location on Sandy Lane Beach. The setting is amazing. I'd highly recommend to extended families or large family groups. The staff at Landfall are worth a mention too - really lovely team.
Landfall is one of the few properties located directly on the prestigious Sandy Lane Beach. I love the fact that this villa is private yet also on the beach. When I visited the home, I was impressed with how spacious the villa was and the level of privacy it offers. It has a nice large pool for guests. The inside of the villa is more plantation style home but offers 5 star luxury. The staff here are also top notch!
