Welcome to Secret Garden, a charming and distinct 3 bedroom home located in the very quaint community of Merlin Bay, on the West coast of Barbados, where just 8 villas nestle discreetly and privately alongside each other. Secret Garden receives its’ name by being built within a wonderfully private walled garden, creating a small oasis of tranquility and beauty, just a few steps from the beach. The surrounding palm trees provide an atmosphere of seclusion and privacy and provides the perfect place to entertain with a quaint terrace and private plunge pool surrounded by tropical flowers and relaxing sun loungers.
The villa is equipped to meet your every need; the ideal combination of privacy and luxury providing the perfect atmosphere for a relaxing Caribbean vacation. With a nod to its lush surroundings, Secret Garden features a soft, neutral palette in the living / dining areas complimented by an assortment of indoor plants and ferns that reflect the quiet hues of nature. Throughout the villa, old-world charm appears in the form of coral stone, terracotta tiling and graceful arches leading out to the sun-filled terrace. There is a choice of two indoor dining areas, one of them being a delightful coral stone fernery, perfect for entertaining with a sit up bar complete with sink, fridge and wine rack. The sunken, air-conditioned living room leads out to the terrace and garden creating an easy flow. A well-equipped kitchen is outfitted with all modern appliances including a fridge/freezer, toaster, coffee machine, mixer, blender, and electric kettle.
Featuring 3 bedrooms and 3 ½ bathrooms, Secret Garden can comfortably sleep 6 guests. Full of natural light, the guest suites are beautifully appointed and feature large floor to ceiling windows, opening the spaces up to the gentle breezes. The master bedroom features a King-size bed, and the remaining two bedrooms are each equipped with twin beds. All the bedrooms are air-conditioned and have additional ceiling fans for your complete comfort.
The villa prides itself on the exterior common areas of this property which features a lagoon style communal swimming pool, complete with comfortable sun loungers and nearby, a few steps lead down to a stunning, tranquil beach. Families love to gather around the pool area, basking in the sun, punctuated by leisurely strolls along the beach or taking a dip the calm clear water of the Caribbean Sea. In the evenings, the BBQ on your private terrace is perfect for get togethers under the stars.
Secret Garden is a unique, homely residence, well suited for families with kids, couples or even groups of friends looking for a quiet tranquil getaway.
There is a fantastic villa team that looks after this property to ensure it is kept at a very high standard. Housekeeping is included two mornings per week, though additional housekeeping and a cook service can be arranged at an extra fee if required.

LOCATION DETAILS
Merlin Bay is ideally located just one mile north of Holetown and is conveniently placed for all the major attractions that the West Coast has to offer. Holetown is a delightful town, and here you can find some of the best shopping in Barbados. There is also a great choice of bars and restaurants.
To the North is historic Speightstown, sometimes called ‘Little Bristol’, where many historic buildings bursting with character can be found, some of them dating back to the early settlement of Barbados. The street-side vendors offer fresh fruits and vegetables, and the local fishermen unload their catch along the jetty.
For the more active guest, there are amazing sporting facilities close by, including fabulous tennis facilities, a gym at nearby Holetown and wonderful golf courses including three beautiful courses at Sandy Lane and a further, very challenging course at Royal Westmoreland which boasts an ocean view from every hole.
