Located very close to The Sandy Lane Hotel, Point of View is an absolute hidden treasure. Set on an elevated site on W Ridge road on over 2 acres of the most beautiful tropical gardens, Point of View is a masterpiece of interior design and tropical landscaping. This super luxury 5 bedroom villa has a gorgeous pool and breathtaking views of the West coast of Barbados. It is also the perfect place to see the sun setting behind the Caribbean Sea.
Point of View is not only one of the most beautiful villas in Barbados, it also has the wonderful advantage of being part of the Sandy Lane Estate and therefore our guests at Villas Barbados have privileged access to the stunning beach at The Sandy Lane Hotel. The beach is a perfect crescent shaped stretch of white sands and crystal clear turquoise waters that are perfect for swimming and snorkelling. There is a lovely pontoon in front of The Sandy Lane Hotel which is a lovely spot to swim to and enjoy some time of quiet contemplation. Guests at Point of View have their own Cabana and beach beds. The team at Point of View will make all the arrangements for you on any days you wish to spend on the beach.
Guests may dine at the hotel and have spa treatments but to be guaranteed space, these must to be booked in advance. Our team at Villas Barbados will be happy to assist you with that in advance of your arrival. You will also have access to the golf at Sandy Lane as well as the tennis centre and a great selection of water sports on the beach. These amenities will be charged on site.
The entrance to Point of View is via a wooden bridge is really impressive and is surrounded by tropical sweet smelling flowers and gardens. Our arriving guests often gasp with delight at the amazing view below them as they enter the house. The influence of Barbados is found all around, from the shingle roofs and wooden floors, and stone walls, to the Venetian style window shutters. Inside, the chic and refined style, with its white tones is complemented by a multitude of decorative objects and owners’ treasures from around the world.
The décor and architecture have a lovely feel of the West Indies colonial past together with a twenty first century refinement.
The gardens at Point of View which are overseen everyday by Shannon are worth some special attention. They comprise of over 2 acres of immaculately designed and manicured gardens with lovely features such as a lily pond, stone walls, sitting areas for quiet seclusion and a lovely walk over bridge. The gardens are a profusion of colour and exotic aromas. The serenity you will find when you stay at Point of View Villa in Barbados is truly unique. The views from all points in the gardens are completely panoramic.
The living areas are very spacious and flow beautifully onto the covered terrace. The open design of the villa creates a wonderful flow of cooling air both during the day and into the evening. This gorgeous Barbados vacation rental offers places for enjoying the company of your friends and family and also plenty of places for quiet contemplation. There is a beautiful library room, several gazebos, a bar area as well as a gorgeous formal dining area. The views from all points are simply breathtaking and our guests at Villas Barbados spend a lot of time relaxing here, enjoying the amazing views, dining alfresco and under the stars.
The accommodation at Point of View comprises of 5 beautiful fully air-conditioned en-suite bedrooms. There are three bedrooms in the main house and 2 in the adjacent guest cottage. Each of the bedrooms in the main house has direct access to the patio, terrace and gardens. The views from the Master bedroom are particularly breathtaking and this room is also especially spacious. In addition to the bedrooms, there is a fully air-conditioned large library room which has two trundle beds suitable for two small children.
Point of View is without a doubt one of our favourite and treasured locations in Barbados. Our guests who arrive rarely want to leave this little piece of heaven but when they do, there are lots of lovely things to explore close by in the pretty town of Holetown. There are some excellent retail opportunities with a great selection of designer shops and individual boutiques as well as some excellent fine dining and more relaxed restaurant and bar options.
Of course Barbados itself has some amazingly beautiful spots to explore and we will be happy to arrange a tour for you or give you plenty of recommendations of some of the most popular places to visit as well as some of more off the beaten track wonders of the island.
Point of View is also a great option for a very special party and the perfect venue for a small wedding.

The team at Point of View are truly wonderful. They comprise of Euleen our cook who works alongside June and Althea our two housekeepers. In addition there is Shannon is our full time gardener who has created a total tropical haven for you to enjoy.
