Smugglers 1 is a 3 bedroom luxury beach front property with the blessings of the perfect location directly on Payne’s Bay which is considered to be one of the most beautiful and exclusive on the island of Barbados. Guests who stay here with us love the fact that it is on the ground floor and can take a refreshing dip in either the communal pool or the ocean which is literally seconds away.
The Smugglers development which is located at the quieter end of Payne’s Bay is beautifully designed. The architects have used a classic Caribbean style combined with bold dramatic pieces and every modern convenience needed. The gardens at Smugglers are beautiful, mature and full of tropical flowers. There is also a small communal lap pool which all residents may use.
Right at the gate of Smugglers, you will find the white sandy beach to be pristine and the waters almost always calm and perfect for swimming. All guests who stay at Smugglers 1 have their own designated sun beds prepared for them by the beach butler each morning.
The terrace at Smugglers is particularly lovely and the perfect spot to enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner al fresco with friends and family. From here you will be able to enjoy the fabulous sunsets that are so often present in Barbados and view the beautiful starry nights to the calming sounds of the sea. The terrace also has plenty of super comfortable loungers and chairs to enjoy the sun, enjoy a glass of champagne, read a book or just enjoy the lovely views.
There are three lovely en-suite bedrooms at Smugglers 1. The Master bedroom is located at the beach side with doors that open up to the terrace. It is an exceptionally large bedroom with a walk in wardrobe and luxurious bathroom with, twin vanities, separate tub and shower. The second and third bedrooms can either be made up with two single beds each or with King beds. The second and third bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms with shower. Because of its flexibility Smugglers 1 is the ideal Barbados vacation rental for either families or groups of adults.
There is a fully equipped kitchen and the housekeeper Ollie is wonderful. Many of our guests return year after year because of her wonderful Bajan welcome.
STAFF: Smugglers 1 is overseen by Ollie the Housekeeper. She works six days per week between 8am and 4pm and cooks breakfast and a light dinner. She is also a great cook and will cook in the evenings for a small additional charge. The Smugglers development which comprises of just 6 units also has a villa manager, a concierge and a beach butler who looks after all the guests in the building. Villas Barbados are also pleased to provide a full and complimentary pre arrival concierge service.

Yvonne -We loved Smuggler's ,the place was gorgeous and the situation perfect, we loved being on Payne's Bay - it's such a nice beach - I'd forgotten how good it was! Hi Julie - On behalf of our whole crew, I want to thank you for your wonderful suggestions and help in booking what was a memorable and fabulous vacation! We all loved the condo and it's proximity to the beach and were so appreciative of David (at the beach) and Ollie's wonderful service. We loved Ollie's food and friendliness -- it made for an even more relaxing stay and we are bringing two of our favorite recipes of hers back to Massachusetts! The activities (catamaran and horse back riding along with the restaurants) were all terrific as well. We just love staying at Smugglers Cove No 1 not just for the beach front location and the wonderful scenery but most of all for our wonderful housekeeper Ollie. She is just a gem and always takes such great care of us and all of the guests who stay.
I really love staying at Smugglers Cove 1 - It is greatly located and the pristine Paynes beach right by your feet is priceless.. Paynes beach offers such calm water with beautiful blue, white sand, the typical Caribbean postcard. I would highly recommend this place for a beach lover family. Sunsets are so romantic. Not to forget Olivette, the housekeeper and cook who spoils us every day with delicious meals and her genuine kindness.
