Smugglers Cove 2 is a beautiful 3-bedroom beachfront ground floor property. Smugglers Cove 2 has its location on the lovely Paynes Bay Beach which is widely considered to be one of the most beautiful on the island. The ground floor terrace of Smugglers 2 is just ten steps to the sand and another ten steps the sea. It does not get closer than this.
Smugglers Cove 2 has three beautiful en-suite bedrooms. The Master bedroom has its location on the seaside with direct access to the terrace. It has a King-sized bed, a large walk-in closet and a spacious marble bathroom with bath and shower. The second bedroom is also a King Bed and has an en-suite bathroom with bath and separate shower. The third bedroom is versatile. Bedroom three has two single beds. However, it is possible to convert them into one King bed. It is also en-suite with a shower room
Smugglers 2 has been completely refurbished and refreshed. The interiors are now wonderfully bright and contemporary. The open plan kitchen flows seamlessly into the comfortable living room. Floor to ceiling French doors open to the covered terrace creating the perfect space for seamless indoor/outdoor living.
Smugglers Cove 2 is part of the luxury boutique development on Paynes Bay Beach which comprises of just seven luxury properties. It is one of the only beachfront developments that also has a private communal pool located in the beautiful gardens at Smugglers Cove. Not that it is needed to often as the sea at Paynes Bay Beach is generally extraordinarily calm and perfect for swimming and snorkelling. It is even possible at certain times of the day to swim from the shore to see the beautiful sea turtles feeding.
The beach at Paynes Bay is a perfect crescent shape with soft white sands. The northern end of the beach can get busy at times in the high season but where Smugglers Cove has its location is lovely and quiet. All residents of Smugglers Cove have personal sunbeds and sunshades for the duration of their stay on Paynes Bay Beach. There is always a beach butler on hand to set up sunbeds and sunshades and ensure complete relaxation and comfort. Paynes Bay is considered to be one of the most exclusive parts of the island of Barbados. Celebrities such as Simon Cowell and local hero Rhianna are often spotted on the beach as they love to stay at One Sandy Lane on Paynes Bay. Other luxury properties include New Mansion, Old Trees and The brand new contemporary Villa at St James.
The other beautiful thing about staying at Smugglers Cove 2 is that there are several excellent restaurants located just a short distance down the beach. One of our favourite places for lunch is the restaurant in the Treasure Beach Hotel. Tamarind Hotel is another excellent spot and Daphne’s Restaurant is about a five-minute walk. There is nothing lovelier than a beautiful meal at Daphne’s followed by a stroll along a moonlit beach back home to paradise.
If you fancy a bit of exercise while on vacation, it is possible to walk in low tide to Sandy Lane Beach. It is also possible to go to the gym at either The Tamarind Hotel, which has its location next door or a gym at holder’s hill. Local charges apply for both of these.
The lovely town of Holetown is a short 5-minute drive away from Smugglers 2. Here there are lots of beautiful restaurants, bars and shops. The Limegrove Center is a focal point with many designers shops and restaurants. If you fancy going further afield, our concierge Julie will organize everything your heart desires.

STAFF
Otine, the housekeeper at Smugglers 2 works six days per week. She prepares breakfast and a light lunch each day. She is an absolute delight and is one of the reasons why clients return year after year.
There are two Beach Butlers at Smugglers Cove. David and Stephen work six days per week and look after you by the pool and beach. Each day they set up sunbeds and will bring eucalyptus-scented ice-cold towels to help you cool down.

We were so sad leaving lovely Smugglers Cove. We stayed at #2 & Otine took such good care of us as did David on the beach. We felt as though we had our own private pool! The kids were in heaven.
What a location -literally 5 steps to Paynes Bay beach for lovely morning walks down to Sandy Lane, comfy sun loungers placed out for us every morning by David the very helpful beach butler & breakfast prepared for our return! What could be better! The Villa itself is beautifully kept. A superb beachfront rental. I'd highly recommend to families, beach-lovers, those looking for luxury by the beach!
Smugglers 2 is a wonderful option for anyone looking for a relaxed laid back vacation on the beach. This lovely property has been refurbished and refreshed and is perfect for a family or a group of up to 3 couples. I love the fact that it is ground floor and is literally 10 steps to the beach and 20 steps to the ocean. It is also excellent value when you take into consideration the location and the standard of luxury.
